99' 2.2L won't start after head gasket replacement
Here's the deal...my 99' S-10 2.2L blew a head gasket almost a year ago, about 5 months ago i started the process of replacing the head gasket. got the head off, took it downt to be resurfaced and checked for cracks, it was all good..bought new push rods, bolts, gasket, spark plugs, starter battery, tps and finally got it all back together (with some help from a chevy mechanic)..went to try and start it...cranks but wont turn over. i checked the throttle cable and D'oh it wasn't routed the way it was suppose to be so i fixed that (wasn't opening the throttle body) the fuel pressure release was loose so i tightened that everything else is connected, but now the battery is low from trying to start it. .other than that, anyone have any clues as to why it wont start? (oh, put in new oil, oil filter & coolant) HELP PLEEEZE.. i been without my truck for almost a year! this is killing me! thanks..

Distributer or timing are off most common problem. Set No. 1 to TDC and check that the distributor post is pointing at the No. 1 cap post. Also check your timing, spark and fuel delivery. Pretty much backup and check everything.
