I cannot change from 2w to auto, 4hi, or 4lo. I hear a noise as if it is trying to shift, but the panel light just blinks, and after about a minute, it goes back to 2wd. Car runs fine, but winter is coming. Any ideas will be appreciated

Check the sensors on the transfer and axle sensor/actuators.
