Electric Fuel Pump ?

What are the tell tale signs if any of a fuel pump going bad. It seams like I have to crank for 5 seconds or more to start.

But that old Chevy still starts, right? Might be a battery that's shot, not the fuel pump.

It could also be the check valve in the fuel pump assembly going bad. This lets the gas bleed back into the tank.
