sorry if i wasn't clear on that post regarding a 4-link. i left out the ref 2 using a 10 or 12 bolt, kinda figured that was a given. i think anyone who has owned a S10/15, either 2wd or 4wd, can attest 2 how crappy the little 7 5/8 diff's really r-especially in a manual trany truck, snapping the clutch is a big no-no.[]

Don't get me wrong you can build a it to take the power but you could also take that money and get a bigger axel. Even the 8.5s are good axels.

like others have said...s10v8.com has a lot of good info. i've seen this done to many s10's with all kinds of smallblocks...from 283's to 400's and everything in between. i know you have to get special headers for it that go around the steering column.
