does any body have any information in in line transmission filter's i have one on my 85 s-10 . it was on there when i got it i don't know if it had a problem at one time or not.looking around i have seen one from motor craft .this one says sealed power technology's will enclose a pic .

 

i have seen them before, not sure if it is to keep the cooler from plugging or just another filter that can get restricted and foul up your tranny, seen them on alot of different things though, if you can see a # on it it would be worth it to try and find a new one to put on there

 

yeah when i got the truck it did not run ,it's got a 2.8 ,and i wanted to get it running to find out for shure what was wrong .to make a long story short ,i got it running but it had a miss on one cylinder and every once and a while a light thump in the engine .so i pulled it and lo and behold it had a broken rod ! talk about chunks in the oil pan and a slurry in the oil .put a long block in it ,got it running .then the trans shifted ok but pulled the pan and changed the oil looked ok .i think it lot a trans at one time and they were afraid of any debrie's floating around .
now i got to find one of these to fill the hole in the line .i think like you said i will put one back in there ,thanks lukemoore646
