Default Hard to restart sometimes.

New member, first post.
Starts fine every time. Engine speeds up for a few seconds and slows down and drives fine.
I'll run up to the store 1.5 miles away come out 10 minutes later and sometimes it's hard to start and when it does I have to give it gas to keep it running.
Once I start driving.down the road it's fine. Drives great.
What are the likely culprits?

if the problem is hard restart after a hot soak but starts fine when cold.....i would be looking for a fuel leak down problem. next time it occurs try a clear flood start...gas pedal to the floor,,,crank engine...release pedal when it starts. does it start somewhat better? wot when cranking shuts down the fuel injectors.

It's been at least 3 years since I replaced the fuel filter.
Almost always buy fuel at Costco.
Recently changed distributor and rotor.
They were really in bad shape.
Plugs and wires changed in December.
I was thinking maybe the coolant temp sensor or the fuel pressure regulator
might need replaced.
The only parts under the hood that have been replaced are the alternator, radiator, thermostat, and of course many batteries, spark plugs, belts, and filters.
Bought it new in November 92

Thanks for your thoughts.
