Default Hello...looking for info

Hello everyone,

I'm new here on the Chevy Forum. I haven't owned any Chevy products since the early 1990s (I owned a 1981 Chevy Citation and then a 1986 Chevette); before going to Saturn for the past 11 years.

After 11 years, my beloved 1994 Saturn SC1; after 340,501 miles; the engine gave up on me due to some burnt valves and failed oil rings. I did all of my own work on this car; and know the Saturn engine pretty well. I felt now, that I am looking to go back to Chevy for a late 1990s/early 2000s model year S-10/Blazer or Jimmy.

I'm looking for some general information on which years are good, which are bad, I'm interested in possibly buying a Chevy Truck; and I don't mind learning a different engine (I've worked on all of my Saturns by myself for the past 11 years.) So my next purchase is either going to be a late model Chevy truck or a Saturn VUE (which I have also owned as well.)

Can anyone provide some general info on the S-10/Blazer and Jimmy models? I want to do some good and deep research before going to buy one of these. I probably won't be buying until Spring 2009.

Any information that you can provide will help me out with my future potential purchase.

Thank you.
