Default how to-wheel hub/bearing removal

Thought I'd share a hack I use to pull wheel hub/bearing assy. away from steering knuckle on my S10.

regular mechs have a bearing puller for this- I aint got one. So, I made a home made one using a long thrd bolt w/a nut i had kicking around...I stuck the bolt thru one of the xtra holes avail on the face where the wheel lug studs are pressed to the hub, threading a nut from the other side of the hole, tightening the nut until it was flush w/the inside face and the plain end of the bolt was pressed against a spot on the dust shield that would ALSO touch the steering knuckle...I then held the nut in place w/a wrench while simultaneously tightening the bolt head w/ my cordless impact wrench-not ideal, but it did make the bearing assy start to separate from the steering knuckle-i had to repeat this process in another good spot so the bearing would release straight n' not hang up...eventually the bearing assy basically fell out of its seat, bringing the dust shield w/it. See pics.
