Default Change front bearings

Hi,

Wonder if someone can tell me by looking at the picture, steps from here to change the bearings. I am confused. I have a Astro 1998.......and have looked at youtube and also have the mechanical handbook. But it shows that the disc and rotor comes off together. But not on my 98.......it looks like in the picture.

Confused...

rotor and disc are the same thing.
your instructions are for a tapered bearing but your vehicle has a sealed hub and bearing. You have a awd not the 2wd.
the picture shows the rotor removed and a sealed hub and bearing assembly still on the vehicle. to remove a sealed hub and bearing you will need to remove the axle nut. then the 3 hub and bearing bolts that can be accessed through the hole in the hub flange. Since its so old you will need to hit the flange with a bfh to remove it from the knuckle. clean the knuckle bore and install the new bearing assembly.

Thanks,

Yes it´s an AWD.

bfh=big fat hammer?

Do you need to replace the sealed hub with a new one(read that somewhere) or can I just replace the bearings?
