Default Jimmy Runs like crap.

Besides my Blazer not starting I thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas about what could be wrong with my Jimmy. I replaced the spider and fuel pump. Sometimes it's impossible to start. When it does it sputters when you start out from a complete stop but getting on it it runs like a rocket. Sometimes cranking it a bit then turning the key all the way off then cranking repeat will get it to start. I have a borrowed fuel pressure gauge and it shows between 57 and 60 pounds. Starting fluid used to get it going but that doesn't work any more. Yes I know SF is bad. Any ideas or should I just keep throwing expensive parts at it. I used an ac delco fuel pump rebuild kit for the pump.

There is a check valve in the fuel pump assembly. Sounds like that might be bad. If you replaced the pump only the check valve could be bad. This would cause the bad starting issue.

It is built in to the fuel pump assembly.
