Short cycling is a sign of a low charge.

To properly diagnose an AC system issue a set of gauges is really needed
you can pick up a set at harbor Fright for about $30 that will be fine for occasional use....
The link below gives a nice chart of possibilities and some explaination
thou I do have to agree with MDTAHOE short cycling is most likely a low charge to the system...

thanks fr the replys.... if it was low wouldnt the gauge read it????? i put the gauge on my car...wich has perfect ac....and it says my ac is also full.........so im guessing the guage is not broken..... its one of the cans from the auto store... should i just empty the can in there???? would i damage anything else if its over full?
