need help quick please ac cycling on n off

Default need help quick please ac cycling on n off

my dads 98 blazer is bowing hot air.....i got one of those freaon bottles with the gauge........... the compressor didnt go on.........i filled it to about 45 psi ....now it cycles on for 3 sec off for about 5 sec...... still bowing hot air.........


this isnt my truck so im not to familiar with it...... if any 1 knows what it is please tell me where to locate the part ......im thinking its a sensor..... thanks alot by the way its hotttttt out i wanna hook him up with ac

the gauge says the charge is full///45 psi....could it be a sensor?

To properly diagnose an AC system issue a set of gauges is really needed
you can pick up a set at harbor Fright for about $30 that will be fine for occasional use....
The link below gives a nice chart of possibilities and some explaination
thou I do have to agree with MDTAHOE short cycling is most likely a low charge to the system...

thanks fr the replys.... if it was low wouldnt the gauge read it????? i put the gauge on my car...wich has perfect ac....and it says my ac is also full.........so im guessing the guage is not broken..... its one of the cans from the auto store... should i just empty the can in there???? would i damage anything else if its over full?
