Sorry i did say distributor but it was only the cap. So if there is no voltage to the leads what would be the problem?

Correct but it would be real weak maybe even impossible to see in the daylight! But i would lean toward testing your coil! And what kind of plugs wire and cap did you get?

Got the parts from advanced auto Exact wires, BWD cap and rotor, ac delco plugs

Your sure you got the plug wires on in the correct firing order right??
