i have a 2000 S-10 with 2.2 ......just had oil changed mechanic said, oil pressure was high recomended possible new oil pump ..was reading other fourms ...possible sending unit...if sending unit where is it located, my manual does not say and if oil pump is there a way around pulling engine to remove oil pan. any help would be greatly app.

put a guage on it and look at your oil pressure. i would not blindly replace an oil pump because my dashboard guage reads high. especially with all the problems gm has had with bad oil pressure sending units.
