Picking race application cam?
ok i have a couple options i have a 93 s10 with 4.3 and a 98 blazer 4.3 donor. I will be racing the truck 1/4 mile circle track asphalt. I have to run stock style injection and manifolds. I am going to have heads works ported etc. and going to want to cam it for high rpm. now either i can go with older tbi maybe if i can use 350 throttle bottle if it makes a difference and see about a tune. or run newer vortec out of the blazer and try to tune that. now the problem is cam what is a big high powered cam i can run and be able to run some sort or tune for efi and which application will work better here i cant go carb. and i dont see much for big cams for newer motors and am not sure if the older cams will work on newer efi. I have been searching net and havnt really found any tech on this kind of thing any help would be a appriecaited its my builder for next season thanks
