Ok I pulled the crap auto out of the broketie ****10 and put a five speed in the auto had the speedo cable the manual has a speed sensor no biggie my question is what is this electrical plug it's square has four but only uses two prong the manual transmission has a spot for a two prong do I need to splice and swap does it really matter at all keep in mind my truck is an 88 and this manual transmission is roughly 93 i just wanna know what this is for and just how important it is

 

not sure what year youre working on but it could be for the T/C lockup. the manual might be for a rev switch or neutral switch

 

[QUOTE=Irish_alli know it's not the park neutral it's on the column for the automatic which shouldn't matter since the column will always be in park so it's gotta be TC so what should I do with it truck is a 88 and I'm not 100 percent sure the manual transmission the donor had the one piece grill so im guessing around 93

 

if its for the automatic i would wrap tape around it to keep dirt and grime out of it and try to tuck it out of the way.
