im new to this forum, and righnt now im working on ym 1984 s-10 blazer that i bought for 100 bucks, right now im takign it. i already tryed adjusting the high tick it has, and rebuild the carb but with no prevail. First off i think the float is stuck. and im takign it apart right now to check the cam and rods in it. I looked up the trans in it i think it has a 700r4 in it is it true?aka raptor 700 close realative to the turbo 400

 

the 700r4 is related to a turbo 350, not turbo 400. if your blazer has overdrive then yes, it is a 700r4. however, it is different than the 700r4's used on v8's. the bellhousing and bolt pattern is way different. so you cannot use any 700r4, it must be specifically for your motor.

that sucks, is there some kinda trans upgrade for a v-8, cause on ebay i saw one with a corvette engine on it,but if there was two different engine bolt up pattersn on it wouldnt it be a different model then a 700r4, and why do they both have the same names, no differention
