1990 S/T blazer cranks but won't start
suspect fuel delivery; where do I start?

 

You have a TBI unit? You can peek down that and see if injectors are spraying.

 

This blazer actually belongs to my brother Bob, so I'm not at the vehicle at this moment--I'm in Amarillo; he's in KC. His complaint is that while driving, the vehicle quit cold. I recommended that he spray a little ether in the throttle body while cranking and he said it spewed and coughed a little bit. I'll explain how to use a mirror and look into the TBI to see if there's fuel spray and go from there. I don't want him to burn his face off!

 

Nothing a face shield wouldn't stop. I've singed my mustache and eyebrows, but not from a TBI unit. I was lighting customers propane heaters, that ran out of fuel.

Not the same, as propane isn't liquid when not under pressure. .
