Spark plugs
Hey huys Im new to the forum. I have been having a big problem replacing the spark plugs on my 1996 S10 blazer. It is a vorvech V6, what is the best way to get to the plugs do you have to remove anything. I removed the stock air filter box and could only get to the one plug on the right front. mostly how do you get to the right side it has a lot of stuff in the way. and do I need any special tool, I see the special plug tool for F bodies in different magizines just woundering should I add this to my tool box.
Howdy, blazerman. And welcome to CF. If you noticed it. Iseemto live hear and on another forum, Im a yard wrencher so i do things a little diferently. Ok this my sound odd, take your front tiers off and lift up or remove the rubber inner fender mud sheild. This gives you the most room to the wires and plugs.
For the (pitas) driver side plug stuck behind the steering collum shaft, I have to type a mini chapter.lol
Make sure your wheels are strate and the steering wheel is center, Take the splash sheld off the end of the steering shaft. You will see a small bolt at the top of the shaft laying sideways, mark the housing and shaft with a strate line using a brite sharpie,if you remove the bolt you can use a screwdriver pliers/vise gripsto slid the shaft back and out of the housing . You can prop the shaft up to get to the plug, and No the (air bag) will NOT deploy. Most peaple will tell you to use this or that method, this is from hands on exp. If you are concerned about the air bags( remove the fuse first). You will need extensions on your wrachet and ittakes a standard socket to remove the plugs. The job is a lot simpler than the typing,If Anyone Wants to Respond to this Posting about my Technic,Please Do So.I hope this helps. DIYers rule.
