Default 94 4.3 won't start HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1994 S-10 4X4 with the 4.3 TBI vin z truck started and ran fine then started to have an occaisonal miss, then would not start one day, seemed to be flooded, unhooked the 2 connectors to the throttle body cranked over started to fire hooked them back and it ran fine, went down the road about 10 mile and it started to miss and backfire bad then died, try to start and would just backfire through the carb and out the exhaust, took it home pulled all the plugs and cleaned, each cyl. has spark plenty of fuel through the TBI but it just turns over no pop at all, the only code is a 43 depending on who you talk to one person says ESC, others say knock sensor, auto parts store does not list an ESC only knock sensor, But i find it hard to believe a knock sensor would keep it from running.

Check to see if you have a crank position sensor ... this controls the spark timing.

after thinking about this I pulled the distributor cap and rotor and found a combination of things clearance between cap and rotor and rust build up on rotor conection, replaced cap and rotor, truck started to pop but sounded flooded so i unhooked wires to throttle body and tried again truck started and burned fuel out of the cylinders, hooked throttle body back up and truck ran fine. Easy fix was just weird because it was running down the highway at 60 mph when it quit, each plug had spark but must not have been enough [/align]
