Default What part is it?

Hi. On a 2000 S10 w/4.3 "W"...On top front of engine, on intake manifold, bolted in with two bolts, near t.stat location, the top part, above where it is bolted into intake, is round and has a 5 prong plug in going into it. Is this the coolant temp sensor for the ECM? I am having a cold start issue, and am thinking it may be the CTS, but when i look it up online all the replacement parts look like a temp. guage sender. Thanks for any posts.

After 1995 the coolant temperature sensors on the 4.3 liter were located on the Left head. But the 4.3 is also equiped with a Engine Coolant Temperature sensor or ECT sensor. haynes manual 24071 pg 6-7. This maybe the problem. This partdoes look like aCTS butit controls a different part of the system.
