Hi folks. New member Mailman John, I have a 2004 s-10 Blaer 4wd 4dr. the speedometer quit working on this truck. Now it will not auto shift when in D position. I can manually shift to 3rd. It gives me a dtc code of (P?) 0236. I forget alpha character. Code reader said to check VSS. I replaced it with a new 1. That did not fix problem. ABS & Brake warning dash lights are lite too. I have replaced the ABS control module with a good donor part. I am at a loss at this point. Does anyone have any ideas? Also it quit shifting into 4wd about the same time. When I try to shift into 4wd hi or low lights on the buttons flash. But I do not hear transfer case motor operate .I also have swapped out a speedometer from an 02 donor truck still not working. And my code reader died last month. Please help me !!! I hate paying dealership prices for service. I am an old school mechanic these new trucks with multiply computers & sensors drive me nuts !!
