Default Steering wheel off centre after pitman arm replacement

Replaced pitman arm and idler arm on my 99 Sonoma. Steering wheel is now about a quarter turn off. Given that the pitman arm and the idler arm can only go on one way , I know the installation is not the problem. Why is the steering off by so much? The only conclusion I can draw is that during manufacture (probably in China), the splines were cut a few degrees off. Comments?

Update. Was able to bring my steering wheel closer to centre by adjusting tie rods. Going for an alignment on Wednesday. I thought I had a bad part or a wrong part but I was worried for nothing. Its all good.

Welcome from Florida. You could have been sold the wrong pitman arm.
