Default Turn Signal Problems - 96 blazer

i have a 96 blazer 4x4 and this morning i was on my way to school and my turn signal i noticed started blinking slow, and all of the sudden it just stop working....my hazardous lights work and blink fine, but my turn signals dont...what do i do to fix it or is it something inside the steering column? is it hard to fix? please let me know if anyone knows how to do it

It might be the turn signal relay or flasher relay.

oh ok. like do u know a way to fix it? i rly dont want to take it in and get it fixed professionally cuz i know im gonna get charged a fortune if i take it to a shop

I am not familiar with your cars electrical system, hopefully someone here can help better guide you where your relays are, if even thats the problem. If it is a flasher relay , I bet the guy at the parts store would pop it in for free, those are pretty easy.

Replace the flasher. Its behind the glove compartment. To get behind the glove compartment, there should either be two rubber bumpers on either side of the outside of the compartment or a metal retainer at the top left corner or the compartment. Bypass the bumpers or clip by pressing in on them and pulling out on the glove compartment. It'll then flop all the way down to the floor.
You shoud see the flasher behind it. its a little black or grey box 2"x2" and should be retained by a green strap. Pull it out and go to an auto parts store to find a replacement.

oh ok thanks alot, so right when u open the glove compartment, theres a little black box on the left hand side?

i had the same problem with mine and i found 2 individual fuses in the fuse box under the hood 1 for the left turn and 1 for the right turn i replaced the one that was blown and it fixed my problem...

His problem was a bad flasher, not a fuse
