Default Very bad transmission leak!

My 98 s10 is leaking transmission fluid like no other. It started while I was on the expressway. The fluid was leaking onto my exhaust causing a lot of smoke and when I pulled over the remaining fluid leaked out. It looks like its leaking from the front seal. I've decided to remove it myself and hopefully fix the leaky seal.

I have no experience at all. I know that I need a transmission jack to remove it. I also have basic knowledge as to how the transmission and the torque converter fit together.

Does anyone have any advice? Are there other seals or parts I should replace while I have it out? And is there anything else that could cause a leak like that?

It's an automatic transmission, by the way. And I've only had it for about a month.
