Default will a transmission form a 04 astrovan rwd go into a 95 blazer 4x4

The Transmission in my blazer is starting to have issues and my neighbor recently totaled his astro van that has a brand new transmission in it. I am wondering if I can make it work even if I loose four wheel drive.

You could do it if you lose the 4 wheel drive. You may have to use his drive shaft or have to have one made. Or I think you could take both transmissions to a trans shop and have them put your output shaft into his trans. The output shaft on 2 wheel drive is longer. The tail shaft is also different between the 2 but that is easily changed with 4 bolts.

Does anyone else find it amusing that when you mouse over the words four wheel drive, it has a jeep advertisement in a Chevy forum?
