Ok I see now, I havent seen a hose like that, lets see what some other members have to say. Id say its like a emission thing that reuses air from the exaust to lower emissions. Sorry, I wish I knew more about what to do.

Looks like an intake air warmer.
My engine doesn't have it.

I think your correct. I guess you can cap it and not worry about anything. As far as capping the intake hole, maybe just get a peice of threaded pipe with a cap and screw it in.

It makes the engine run smoother but less power, not much less though. Its not a CAI its a WAI

Thats what I originally thought , it feeds the exaust gas back into the intake, then you EGR valve lets it in as needed.
