1993 Chevy Cavalier make over
I bought this car two years ago, finally got it painted and I couldn't be happier. I still have a few things to do like attaching emblems and re doing the interior carpet (if I ever figure out how to remove the centre console). People make fun of me because I own not one but two Cavaliers but I don't care. Anyways check her out!

That looks great!
pull out the power window switch in the middle and disconnect (or insert if you have hand cranks), you will find a bolt underneath
go into your "tray" area below your radio/hvac, locate the bolt cover and carefully pop it off and remove the bolt
open your console "compartment" you will find 2 more bolts at the bottom
now pull your ebrake, start the car, put your foot on the brake, shift all the way down into the lowest gear, and remove the spring clip that is holding your gear shift handle on, put the car in park, shut the car and remove the handle.
carefully pull up on the gear shift plastic, there are no screws or bolts securing it, just plastic clips so be careful not to break them
remove the 2 screws on either side of the console near where the window switch was, your console is now free.
in order to remove it:
start the car and put your foot on the brake, shift all the way down, now lift the back edge and lift it over the shifter, and pull it back, shift back into park.
