I'm the proud new owner of what we're calling the 1985 Camino Supreme. For those who don't know what that is, picture an 85 Olds Cutlass and an GMC Caballero had a baby. The VIN is GMC, so I figured it would be safe to post this custom here. I didn't do the groundwork, but I sure like what was done. The 305 engine. drivetrain, and back end are all from the GMC, with the Olds donating its front end and interior to the project. I'm planning on using it as a summer car for small outings and such, and maybe the occasional meet. Thanks for having me!

Hey, congrats on the 1985 Camino Supreme! That’s a serious blend of style and muscle with the GMC backbone and that slick Olds front. I can see why you’re pumped to take it out for those summer drives and car meets! There's something about cruising in a ride that’s got a unique flair, especially when it's a custom project like yours.
Speaking of unique, if you’re ever out on one of those small outings and need to fuel up yourself as much as your ride, consider stopping by Sonic for breakfast. Their menu’s got that throwback vibe too—just like your car—with classics like breakfast burritos or their SuperSonic Breakfast Toaster. Maybe grab something hearty before hitting the road for a weekend cruise!
Enjoy those summer drives, and thanks for sharing the journey of your custom beauty!
That is one great restoration job - and I like the mashup of the Cutlass and El Camino!
That brings back memories of my mom's mid 80's Malibu Classic, which was the same "G body" as the Cutlass Supreme. My girlfriend's father drove a same year model El Camino, and the front end of the vehicles was identical sitting side by side.
