Need reinforcement
just bought 1995 chevy c1500 2wd Cheyenne 350 engine off my dad, it was the truck i grew up in and always dreamed about fixing up and making beautiful and my own. But today I was sitting at wing night talking to my boyfriend's friends and they were telling me it was a waste of time and that I shouldn't bother. Granted it has been beaten up by my sisters through the years, and needs some general maintenance stuff done such as tie rods ends and a throttle body rebuild... But I think it's worth it. I know it is kind of biased going to the ol' chevy forum but I'm genuinely wondering and second guessing if I am wasting my time? Please give me feedback. Thanks
How is the body? Is there a lot of rust or dents? How much will it cost to fix it up. Tie rods, hoses, tune ups and belts and hoses are part of the cost of owning an older vehicle. They are part of normal wear and tear. These things have to be done on all vehicles. One thing you can't put a price on is the sentimental value. If you really want the truck , it is worth it to you to fix it up unless the cost is outrageous.
There isn't much rust on the body, but my sister did run a fire hydrant down the drivers side from behind the door to middle of the box. But other than that it's mostly just paint chip and scratches. I don't think the costs are going to get outrageous in respect with what I want it to become. The engine runs awesome still lots of power. So the major thing is the hydrant run in..
:-) like I said pretty much since I could comprehend that vehicle can be changed and made to look gorgeous and that engines can be made more powerful I have dreamed of what I can do to this truck. I love it more than ever and a few haters never hurts especially when I beat their stupid tuner cars lol

Haha don't you worry! It is going to be a working progress and I'll start with the major general maintanence stuff and exhaust to get her sounding purdy and then probably body. But thanks so much for your feedback I really do appreciate it! :-)
