Default Silverado - New lights

Here's a video of my new 8000K Iceburg Blue HID lights. I've had them for about 3-4 months but just now took the video.

I also put on the camo Chevy emblem. The bottom part of the bumper is new as well, cause I hit a wild hog that darted out in front of me on the highway, and that knocked that plastic bumper piece off, and knocked out my passenger fog light housing a few months ago. So all that is new!

I think they look great. You'll find that they are very much brighter than the stockers. I'd have gotten a slightly lower color temp if I were you...especially in the fogs. You may come to regret it if you get into some really dense fog...but otherwise, they look great.
I'm running 5000k high beams and 6000k low beams on the Blazer, and they are truly amazing.

toovo1985, why don't you just state that its not really your style or that you are not really wild about them rather than making fun of them like a juvenile? We don't tolerate such behavior on this forum. Imagine yourself saying that while face to face with the original poster. You'd certainly word it a little different.

Not really my style...but my question was serious. I was really asking if the blue light would have some improvement on lighting the road

as the temperature increases in bulbs the light spectrum gets shorter and shorter so for instance 6k lights wouldnt be as blue as 8k but the 6k would be lighting up the road farther down than the 8ks. most people go for looks. but i like the 6k and 8k lights.

Thanks for the comments.

And yes, it does improve the lighting, very much. I was going to get the 6000K Diamond White, but I wanted the slight blue color on them, so I went with the 8000K Iceberg Blue, which puts out about the same light distance. Now for my fogs, I used to have just the regular halogens, but hated how the different colors of lights looked on my truck. So I went ahead and bought the fogs a couple of months later.

Right now though, I need to return the headlight kit, because after 5 months of having them, I ran them 24/7 and it burned the driver side bulb plus wiring out. But what cause that is the weird Texas weather, from being cold one day, and running the lights in 80 degree weather the next. So once I get them back, I'm not gonna use them but only at night.

I'll be glad to answer any other questions anyone may have.

I like the setup that you went with. Where did you buy both kits at and for how much?

EvansBlue are you saying that it would be better having 60000k over the 80000K for foglights?

Would these headlights survive the winters in South Dakota they get pretty cold so I dont know what that would do to the headlight.
