Default battery brands suggestions

I purchased my 2020 Equinox used last year. It's 4 years old now and I want to replace the battery before winter because I don't know how old the battery is. Would like some suggestions on what brand battery to get. It's an AGM battery. size H6AGM
Thanks in advance for any info. Don't want to pay the dealer $300.00+

Some say the ones made by a major battery manufacturer and sold at Wally World are the BEST . Whatever you settle on be sure it's an AGM type

Should be a date code on the battery. May have years of life yet. Have a mechanic load test it for you (BTW my wife would tell you I use everything till it's really dead)

You’re not likely going to find a decent AGM battery for less than $250.

What you really need to consider is the warranty period. Cheaper batteries (regardless of brand or installer) are typically going to have a shorter warranty, so you may save on the initial cost but end up paying more for the replacement if it should fail earlier than expected.

I don’t know what the warranty is for other brands, but at work we install Interstate Batteries. Their warranty on most of their batteries is free replacement for the first 2 years and then pro-rated after that. Depending on which line you choose, the warranty lasts up to 6 years.

FYI, according to their website, an Interstate AGM for your car is $284.95 and comes with 36 months free replacement.

Good luck.
