Arrow Lost key 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 4wd

I am in the middle of a move and I have just lost my key. I I'm in critical need please to guide me through an over ride the ignition without damaging my truck. I have the steering wheel casing off and have pulled the wires off amd have to have the key to turn the ignition to accessory yo pull out the tumbler. ?? I had installed another radio 3 years ago and do not have any security systems on the truck. I have 5 men standing here waiting for me to get help on my truck to start the truck. Can someone please help me. ?? Thank you for your time too for reading. This is my second post and I am just learning my way around this awesome site. Thanks again CJ

Cheryl,
It may cost you some $$$, but the longer you wait the more expensive it is going to get.
Get yourself a Locksmith or a dealership to come down make a key or 2 for you and get the show on the road.
The more you butcher things the more expensive it gets to repair, not a good move.

Pop the plastic butterfly ring off of your ignition ... Then grab vice grips and latch onto ignition and forcefully turn ignition.. it will break the cylinder but it'll start 😁
