Default 05 chevy 2500HD with 111000 miles for $14000

so you guys think an 05 chevy silverado 2500HD with some option like power seats and its a crew cab 6.5 foot box, and new tires is worth 14000 dollars.

It seems like a lot of miles for a 05 and seems like with 111000 mile it is a high price.

But KBB says with options its worth 17,900 dollars in perfect condition, but it has a few dents and dings like an average truck.

How are the motors for these trucks, and whats the average life span of the motors.

Try to haggle. I don't know a good estimate on mileage, but you should be able to get a good 200,000 out of the engine. taken care of properly of course. I'm expecting 150,000 to 175,000 outta mine but, when I move next year it'll be getting used hard the rest of its life. I paid 12,000 for a 01 F-150 v-6 5-speed single cab with no extras in 06 with 72,000miles. I got a lil ripped though, lesson learned. Long story short 14,000 doesn't sound to bad. Try to get a carfax on it.

yeah i got the carfax and no crashes and two owners. it showed normal oil changes replacing battery an the blower motor but that was it.

it was 15000 but he said he would take 14000

motor ran good no check engine lights and no weird sounds at all. it has brand new goodyear tires. 4x4 worked. and kbb said 17,900 for it with the option i could remember on it.

well, a little more info is needed really. what kind of options? Heated leather, bose 6 disc changer, steering wheel controls, is it an LT or an LS? 6.0, 8.1, or 6.6 duramax.

14K isnt bad for an 05 crew cab LS package, auto trans and the 6.0, with 100K miles. ive seen a few around here still going for about 16K or so.

go to NADA and use that as a guide, as KBB usually is overpriced.

as long as it drives good, no rust, no unsual noises and the main thing is, you like it, i wouldnt hesitate to drop 14K on it. the 6.0 can go 200K easy with normal maintanance.

good luck
