BradStump,
What speed are you going and do you attribute better gas mileage to the intake? Where can I find some info on this?
Thanks,

5.8? No such thing. It's either a 4.8, 5.3, or a 6.0
I think the sticker on a new one would say 14 city 18 highway.
Also don't waist your money on an intake. Take that money you would have spend on it and put it towards gas. Also drive like a granny and keep the truck up to par on the maintanence and you'll be good to go.

Yours being a 4wd is going to hurt it more too. Also what the sticker says on the window is like perfect situation and a bit exagerated. Also is that 12.9 highway or city driving. I imagine that's the reading on the display on the cluster right?

i don't have the read out on the dash for mpg, i get the numbers the old fashion way, i do the math.
And when i say "anywhere i go any thing i do" thats what i mean, it does not matter what I've been doing, if i check the mileage at fill up time its the same, 12.9 mpg. If i run a tank out on a long trip down the freeway hauling the family, 12.9, if I am towing around 5000lb trailer,12.9, if i am just driving it to work and back(half highway half city),12.9. Thats what i get for mpg....12.9.
And I read your post, that why I didn't crack on the guy for saying he had a 5.8, you seemed to have that covered. When I read his post I was going to ask " WTF is a 5.8" but since you had that covered I let it go.
