my brake lights stay light even if the truck is off. anyone know what might cause this?

there is a switch ( more like a button) that your brake pedal pushes when its up to turn off the lights, it right under the dash at the top of the pedal.
alot of times the threads that hold it in place wear out because theyre plastic and it will slip back through the hole not allowing the pedal arm to touch it, or the pedal bushings wear down and you may be able to simply readjust the switch so its touching again.

thanks i'll give it another look. kinda hard, i already rhino lined the interrior...

if you rhino lined under the dash i would think it would actually hold the switch into place, but that also may be your problem
