Default ABS light

my friend has a 2000 5.3 L Z71 silverado and lately hes been having is ABS and E-brake light been coming on, at first it seemed to be random, now it seems to be coming on more then its off, anyone have any ideas?

Its probably the ABS module. They aren't cheap, but they can be rebuilt for about $150 which is about 15% of what a new one costs. It can be removed and sent off, and the truck can still be driven, just without ABS brakes. http://modulemaster.com/en/index.php is the place. It taks about a week to get it back.
