Default Adding lift blocks

Hello,

I am adding lift blocks onder my C1500 '94.
I've undone on 1 side the U bolts. Some one told me I must work
one side at a time. Then I had to raise the chassis, but the leafs
stick on the axle. What should I do ?

thx

the head's of the leaf spring center bolts are stuck to the top of the axle spring mounting pad . they hold the spring centered and in place till the u-bolt's are tightened .squirt a little penetrating oil around the base of the spring let it set and work awile with a little pressure lifting up on the back of the truck leaving the axle suspended ,with a jack under it .

when i put my full weight on the axle,( on the drum brake) it comes loose from the leafs, is that mean I don't lift the truck high enough ?
