I have a 2000 gmc jimmy with a 4.3 v6 and sequential fuel injection.The problemwith it is cold starts.It won't start without a shot of ether.After it starts and warms up it will fire right up until allowed to cool off overnight.Any ideas? Thanks

After the vehicle sits overnight, I'd check fuel pressure, key on engine off. If you have the central sequential fuel injection, that system isnoted for problems. Fuel pressure is critical.You might try running some injector cleaner through the system, see if it helps.

Are there any trouble-codes?

The system may not be priming. Look in your fuse panel for an opening (it is not a fuse but rather an opening) that you can stick your test light in. If it lights up when you turn the key it is priming, if it does not it isnt thus youmay be starving for fuel at startup.

i would dump a can of fuel injector cleaner in the tank just so it can clean out all the fuel lines and injectors, thing always seem to mess up and work slower when its cold.
