I have a 2001 Chevy Ext.Cab with the 5.3. I didnt want to spend alot of money on an exhaust, so I just cut the muffler out and put in a glass-pack. It sounds just as nice as the $500 dollar exhaust, And this only cost me $60.

2 questions:
1) Which is louder... Glass packs or nothing at all (no muffler)?
2) Would glass packs reduce the popping & back firing during deceleration?
