Full throttle AC shuts off and wont come back on
Over the past month my AC has been turning off sporadically. It still blows but it blows hot air. I have managed to figure out that everytime I stomped on the Go pedal it stops blowing cold and starts blowing hot. The only thing is it never starts to blow cold again unless I shut off the truck which seems to reset it. I have a 2000 Z71, thanks for the help guys im burning up down here in Texas!

Hello fellow Texan.
Not trying to steal your thunder but I'm having the same issue in my 97 Ck1500 ex cab, 5.7liter.
It works well and out of no where it starts to blow hot air. Usually when
driving it will stay cold for a while but when sitting idle, it'll push hot air after about 20mins. The comp is good and it has a new charge of R134.
If anyone can help us Texans out that'll be great. We can handle the
100degree days but having AC is so much nicer.
