There are a couple options I know of. First, I had mine covered in red vinyl by the local pin stripe shop. It looks fantastic. I have also seen one that was sprayed with the spray in bed liner material. It looked great, and virtually indestructible. Those are two options I have personal knowledge of, however I am sure there are others available. I'm sure somone else will offer some opinions. Good luck with it.

more people get them painted than anything..I have mine on my 01 silverado painted and i put the nnbs emblem thats on the tailgate on my tailgate and had it painted. Really its up to you, which one do you think would look better?

I have an 01 too, painted the front emblem got a billet grille and the tahoe chrome grille instead of the silverado black one. I got the nnbs emblem from the dealership and had my buddy at a body shop paint it and put it on for me

i painted my front and back emblem red it was easy, first i sanded them with 600 grit wet and dry sandpaper to take off the shine, taped them off and used krylon, fysion plastic spray paint, many light coats. then finished with several light coats of clear coat, looks great. also check out this site- webxtremes.com

How would a black emblem look on a carbon colored truck? The dealership that I bought the truck from said it was carbon colored. It means that it is black in low light conditions and darker green in bight conditions.
