Default Installed factory Nav, no traffic

Hey guys,

I just installed a factory OEM navigation system in my 3500 Duramax. The nav portion works great, however I am not able to use the nav-traffic feature. It does not even show up on the screen to be used. I've called xm 4 times now and they have refreshed the signal to my truck radio and still nothing. Any ideas or experience on how to fix this? Local dealer's service department is no help. Thanks in advance.

I have one on my truck and was told the traffic signal is like a "weak radio signal". If you are not in range, no signal will be picked up. My does not work until I get close to SFO.
