Default Keyless entry remote

Alright here's my issue I have an 06 silverado crew cab and one of the stock key fobs is burning through batteries like crazy like one a month. I had an 02 impala before this and that battery lasted over 4 years and was still going anybody know why this one would be going through batteries so quick?

Sounds like it just about has to be a short inside the fob. If you can't see anything with a visual inspection of the circuit board inside the fob - piece of extra metal laying across two connecions or paths on the circuit board, something like that- then you may have to declare it defective and replace it. Has it done this since new or is a problem that just developed?
