Default LM7 to LS1?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not search it due to those two keywords being too short, but is it possible/beneficial performance-wise to bore out the 5.3 to a 350 LS1?

I know you can find rebuild kits fairly easily, but how much work is involved in an operation like that, and would it boost performance at all or just kinda ruin the engine?

This is a just-wondering/just-for-fun question, so don't judge haha.
