I have an 04 black 1500 silverado with black KMC backseat rims and a undercover tonnue. I installed a K&N cold air intake, flowmaster 50 series muffler, and a FMS dyno tune and it puts about 264HP to the ground according to my dyno sheet, not sure how much at the engine but my guess would be between 235 to 245bhp, not bad for a first time tuner. I'm currently in the process of installing a Xenon body kit and want to install a fiberglass hood with functional ram air (truck needs to shed some weight). I havent had the time to go to track an make a run, but I want to find out if there are any other 03 or 04 trucks out there and what have you done to yours, and what is your 1/4 mile time. I'm also looking for other good cheap mods for my truck any suggestions?

Since when do you gain horsepower through the drivetrain?

Well if you think it has 345 base horsepower then it must be an SS right?

No. it is an LS with a 5.3L I took to it to a speed shop and had in reprogrammed on a dyno, stock rear wheel horse power was at 252 and 295bph at the engine, after a couple pulls on the dyno it went to 264 at the rear wheels so my guess was 12 horses at the wheel meant about 25 to 35 more at the engine. Then i added a cold air intake and a muffler giving about 5 to 10 more horsepower.
