I'm trying to remove the front drive shaft on my 99 1500 Silverado. I have unbolted the front u joint but for the life of me can not get the shaft to slide out of the transfer case. I have tried pulling, twisting, pry bar, and hitting with block of wood and hammer. I can not get the shaft to budge from the transfer case. I need to replace the u-joints. I did this several years ago when replacing the transfer case but did not have any trouble. Any ideas???
