Possibly buying an 04 z71
Hey im new to the forum and am about to possibly trade my 07 tacoma in for a 04 silverado z71...the silverado has 127,519 miles on it and can be seen in this link
2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 4X4 OFF ROAD | Leesburg, Virginia | Leesburg Auto Import
the truck looks pretty clean but i was just wondering on the price it seems kind of cheap compared to other trucks ive looked at could there be something wrong with it.. or do some dealerships just sell their inventory at these prices?
Also how many miles does everyone have on there own 5.3

Seem about right on the price there IMO. And 5.3 and miles go hand in hand with the right maintenance. It's the tranny that worries people in these trucks. But if you don't beat on it then you'll be fine. Especially since it should have a stock tranny cooler and hopefully 3.73s

The one picture I'm not seeing is the Service Parts ID sticker
inside the glove box. Look in there, and be sure the sticker
has the RPO code "Z71". Then it's a good deal, assuming
parts were never removed from the truck.
The only assurance you have a real Z71 right now, is the
decals on the fender. Some owners have been known, when
selling, or doing a trade-in, to install those decals, in order to
inflate value of their truck.
Welcome to the Chevy Truck Forums, and the wild world of
4WD. That's a nice looking rig, but verify what you think you know,
by either researching the VIN through a separate source, or
checking that RPO code in the glove box. THEN it's worth the money.
