Default Ordered 07 Tahoe - Should I be concerned about possibly loosing the cash rebate

Dealer couldnt find a Tahoe with all of the options that I wanted, for the price they promised! I didnt mind ordering the vehicle, as my lease doesnt end until Feb. What I am concerned with is that the current rebate ($2000), will expire before I take delivery....anyone think the rebate will "go away" or increase on Jan 2 when the current rebates expire? I have tried to find historical information regarding GM rebates but haven't been successful. Anyone know? Have any experience with this?
Thanks
-bob

I suggest you call up the person who sold you the car and threaten... i mean say "I do still get the 2 grand cash back, RIGHT?!"

they told me when i ordered, that I would only be offered the current incentive at the time of delivery. I am ok with it...I was just trying to figure out what I could expect come Jan.
I would think the they would continue to offer $2k or possibly more...I guess that is what im trying to find out at this point...trending of rebates...

Been a while since I was in this position. But I believe the rebates at the time of the order are good at the time of delivery. However if the current rebates at the time of pickup are better, you can obviously take the better of the two! Might get this confirmed, but that is how it is here!

However, my honest opnion is that you shouldnt see the rebate of 2k go down. They are only going to get better, or should! I think the rebate here is 3-4k now. You can buy a LTZ here for about 9k under sticker.

They all have to go away sometime but I would think you should get $2K or more in Feb if it is that high now.

I'm actually suprised that the rebate is that good now. They are selling well and the new GM plan was to price competatively and avoid the high rebates that hurt in the long run (resale and perceived value)

I paid WAY too much to get mine. I don't want to think about how much they are now -$9K under

When ordering a "sold order" through a dealer you will receive whatever current rebates and incentives are in place at the time of delivery.
The MSRP on the sticker (which can take jumps several times during the model year) will not change once the order is place (price protection).

GM calculated rebates based on a formula which involves many factors such as day supply, production scheduling and numerous other parameters, with this in mind I would expect the rebates (on Tahoe) to remain stable for the next several months with a few additional regional incentives being but into place here and there.

2nd row bench
2nd row heated seats
power liftgate
power 2nd row release

Why not just spend a few extra bucks for the LTZ. Sounds like you got most of the options anyway.

couldnt get the LTZ with 2nd row bench was the main reason.
Although I like the grille on the LTZ, im not a fan of the chrome door handles or chrome mirrors.
