PUDDLE LIGHTS

Anyone ever put puddle lights on a 2007-09 Silverado?

I haven't hurd of it on trucksbut i have a 06 and i was thinking of it, just not sure where you would mount them i have the skid plates under my truck. My wife is puting them on her acura tl so im going to waight to see how much i like them on her car. I don't plan on doing any off roading so why not
